Blue Blogging

Well I really am a bad blogger these days and a bad crafter too. My only creative endeavours recently have been all digital. There are a number of reasons for this

1. I don't have to clean up my chaotic office/crafting room to begin
2. I don't have to search for long lost materials or hidden UFOs to start work
3. There is no mess to clean up at the end

All perfectly valid reasons if you ask me.

RESTFUL BLUES

• Background of the world, a contrast to the rest
• Aquamarine - happy, bubbly, warm mood
• Cooler blues - airiness, peaceful, serenity, hope
• Grayed - atmospheric
• Darker - depth & mystery
• Restful, refreshing, cool - also elegant, formal
• Blue decreases muscle activity, blood pressure, respiration and heart rate. Excellent in rooms meant for rest.

in art

• dark blue, midnight, ink navy - contrast warm bright colours
• with its complement orange it creates the effect of simultaneous contrast (? whatever that means exactly)
• light blue gives and airy, fresh feeling
• light gray blue is wintery, icy.
