Gumboots and dressing gown
That's how you'd have found me at 7.30am this morning. Climbing fences and trying to sneak up on a stray lamb is not easy to do wearing a bright fluffy dressing gown and gumboots. There was a small lamb on our driveway from the large grazing block next to us, it was only young and I was scared it was going to run out onto the road and become mincemeat! It was talking to our Matilda and following her, unfortunately, she's very tame and was following me leading the little one closer to the open gate. Lucky for me it got scared and ran away from the road and I managed to shut the gate, then it jumped through into the paddock with our sheep where I left it. I figured our boundary fence had loose enough battens for it to get back through to it's Mum. It was gone when we got home but I later learnt that dh had spent 10 minutes before he left trying to get it back where it belonged.
So, how did you start your day?
