Exotic places

Yesterday I received a Christmas card from Alaska!!! I've never had one from there before and it seemed wildly exciting. Alaska seems so remote and "other worldly", a land of ice and snow, a place I'm unlikely to ever visit and yet a photocard and letter managed to make it all the way to the other end of the world to brighten my day.
