It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The beauty of being unemployed and it being school holidays already, is that there is time to do Christmas prep. We finished our decorating on Monday, though I have to admit I still haven't managed to get all the boxes back into storage. It's such a chore. I do still have to vacuum up all those stray bits of tinsel and tree that end up everywhere during the process.

Yesterday my son and I made the Christmas pudding AND the Christmas cake. The smell was divine all afternoon. He's a dab hand at cooking but not so good at the clean up. I did far too much washing-up.

So, apart from the fact that I've only sent half my Christmas cards out, the rest will just have to be late which is an improvement over last year and I haven't a clue what Christmas shopping I need to do, I'm not doing too badly this year! :)
