From Cherry Cake & Ginger Beer by Jane Brocket
Gorgeous Ginger Beer
Paddington Bear's marmalade buns

What a wonderful book this is full of nostalgic references to most of my favourite childhood reads. It has great traditional recipes and any woman who states in print that crumpets must be accompanied by "medically dangerous" amounts of butter is definitely on the same wavelength as me.

From 100 Great ways to use slow cookers & crockpots by Alison & Simon Holst
Easy fish in sauce
Cassie's sausage casserole
Curried sausage patties
Honey glazed chicken
Macaroni cheese
Devilled Sausages
Favourite meatloaf
Spicy Indian mince & rice
Pork & kumara parcels - these were fun, wrapped up in corn husks though they can be cooked without
Giant New york style meatballs

This book is proving such a treasure trove of tasty family food that I think it may have to be purchased.

From Grandma Groves' archive
Zuchini & Cheese pie - I remember her making this so much at one stage that we were all heartily sick of it.
