Two to Four

Not true! I have read some more books. I have decided to count how many books I read this year, just out of curiosity. It will be a paltry number when compared with the youngsters count but then he doesn't have to look after him!
Book 2: Silver Tongue by Charlie Fletcher
I had a pristine copy from the library, nothing like being the first borrower to have a book. This is the final in the Stoneheart trilogy and it was just as good as the other two: Stoneheart & IronHand. Here is the blurb from Stoneheart which sets the scene for the series.
Deep in the City something had been woken, so old that people had been walking past it for centuries without giving it a second look!' When George breaks the dragon's head outside the Natural History Museum he awakes an ancient power. This prehistoric beast, sentry-still for centuries, hunts him down with a terrifying wrath. And this is just the beginning! The taints and spits -- statues with opposing natures -- are warring forces; wreaking deadly havoc on the city landscape. The World War One gunner offers protection of sorts; and the wisdom of the Sphinx is legendary. But George and his companion Edie are trapped in a world of danger. And worse -- they are quite alone. The rest of London is oblivious to their plight. This epic adventure exposes forces long-layered in the fabric of London. After entering its richly original and breathtaking world, the city streets and skyline will never again seem the same!Book 3: Going Postal by Terry Pratchett
I haven't read a Terry Pratchett for ages and I wasn't disappointed. His light and entertaining style whilst poking fun at the establishment has been perfect summer reading. This book is set in Ankh Morpork where Moist von Lipwig has been saved by "an angel" and has now been appointed Post Master General. His task is to get the decrepit postal service up and running again against the competition of "the clacks" communication monopoly.
Book 4: Making Money by Terry Pratchett
Now the Post Office is running like a well-oiled machine Moist is in danger of becoming a model citizen until Vetinari offers him his next challenge. His task this time is to conquer the Royal Mint, he must make money. Continuing in the same brilliant vein as its predecessor you have to wonder how Moist is going to "pull it off" this time and how one man can get himself into so much trouble. Brilliant.
