Book 7: Otherland Vol 1: City of Golden Shadow by Tad Williams

This is the first Tad Williams book I've ever read but it won't be the last. It wasn't a quick read, at over 900 pages it was never going to be, but what I mean is it's not a light read. The tale is quite complex switching between several seemingly unrelated threads, it wasn't until about three-quarters of the way through the book that I could see that they were heading in a direction and were eventually going to come together.Follow the link above for a plot summary. I love something I can get my teeth into and this didn't disappoint. I've already started Volume 2 and will be looking for number 3 at the library tomorrow.
