A belated Happy New Year
It hasn't been a Happy New Year for me due to health issues which began at the end of December. I haven't done much other than read in the intervening time, hence the number of book reviews which are surprisingly easy to blog since I joined Goodreads.com.
I've been avoiding the computer so haven't done much in the way of scrapbooking, though my first layout of the year was Lauren Bavin's Pick of the Pack on her blog.
Finally, I'm starting to feel more like my usual self and I have actually started some dressmaking this week. I really need some new clothes and the ones I see in the shops, at least the shops I visit, either look like rags or maternity wear. It's been so long since I made clothing that mine may look the same, but hopefully not, at least they're not black like 90% of clothes I see.
So, I've cut out two tops from fabric that was on hand, then found I didn't have any interfacing so had to make a trip out for that which delayed me a bit. Yesterday, I actually started to sew. Mum, is right, it's a bit like riding a bike, it soon comes back. So, hopefully soon I will have a completed project and some photos.
