Finished, thank goodness. The only reason this made it to my reading list was because it was a book club selection. I started, so I finished but it was a duty. There were some interesting characters and it was an interesting setting and history but there was no meat to it to get my teeth into. I think it was mainly the format that disagreed with me, having to figure out who the author and recipient were of each letter just made the book too disjointed.
