Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I last read this when I was in high school and this time I enjoyed it far more than I ever expected to. Right from the start I found it very funny, especially Mr Bennet's thinly veiled jibes at his wife. The second half of the book was gripping as the intrigue began to unfold and true characters were revealed. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
