Christmas Decorating

For those who wanted to see my decorating. We did less this year. Compacted all the main decorations into the living area. I didn't go hanging garlands round the ceiling either as in previous years. There are no outside lights this year as we had a lot of storm damage to them last year.

So, this is the tree! It's in the dining room this year, we had to compact the table and remove a chair but it's the first thing you see as you walk in the front door. I made the tree skirt a few years ago and the mice in the heart I made for our first married Christmas in 1988! If you look at it closely it's starting to look a little worse for wear, the glue obviously wasn't "acid free".

You'd think I could've straightened the table cloth wouldn't you!

On top of the kitchen "return" is my gingerbread tree - that was a new addition last year. All the ornaments are kitchen or food related with the odd bow for filler. You can see an angel quilted wallhanging on the wall and there is another quilted hanging behind the fibre-optic tree on the wine rack. They were both from Kiwiquilters swaps.

Here you can see into the lounge/family room. In the corner is G's tree - he puts it up and decorates it himself. Any ornaments he makes at school go on there along with his collection. The spiky thing on top of the speakers is a fibre optic flashy thing. I haven't actually taken a photo of in there but above the TV is a shelf that is filled with Christmas "fluffies" - Dad buys us one each year. I did a scrapbook LO last year that shows them all and can be found here
There are also a couple of xmas cushions on the sofa.

Well it looks like Picasa will only let me blog 4 photos at once so I'll have to do a second post with the rest. Posted by Picasa
