First Jack Me Up challenge

This is my layout for the first Jack Me Up blog challenge to scraplift Vicky Gibson. I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while but I hadn't realised how long it was going to take to create and shuffle all the text layers! The only photo I had of G at that age was blurry so I used the poster edges filter to give it slightly cartoon look.

Text:
So many people on my December98 email list had been posting about their children’s vocabulary that I decided to write down all your words. Considering you hadn’t started to speak at all until you were 16 months old we were very impressed by how many words you knew and how many new ones you came up with each day. As well as these words you also had quite a selection of noises and sounds to fill out your conversations. June 2000.

Credits:
Beach Day page kit by Meryl Bartho (DSP) - papers, ribbon border and flower
Formal Bits & Bobs by Elizabeth Weaver (DSP Freebie) - pearls
A Splash of colour AOP2 by Lauren Bavin (DSP) - ricrac (recoloured)
Another new skirt by Lauren Bavin (DSP) - lace (recoloured)

Life has been a little quieter here since I dropped G off at the grandparents for two nights - the silence is bliss at home, even worth having to go to work today.

On a more worrying note I found my USB key today that I misplace several days ago. I had one of those lightbulb moments when I realised where it was - in the coin pocket of my jeans which unfortunately were on the line after having been through the wash! GULP! Surprisingly it still appears to work.

Love it. How fab to have all these words documented! Thank you for joining in with our first jack challenge. I had trouble linking to your layout from the link you posted in our comments area, however after a bit of detective work I found it.
