Wet and wild Wednesday

This week has been complete madness and I've hardly been near the computer all week.
Wednesday saw me on the Visique stand at the Ellerslie International Flower Show.
I was on the morning shift at the service centre, our task was to clean and tighten people's spectacles. We'd been given promotional t-shirts to wear but it was so cold that we never took our jackets off, however our delightful lime green aprons loaded with promotional giveaways made us readily visible by all and sundry. The wind was bitter and we spent half the morning sheltering in the tent from the rain. Some of the downpours were positively torrential and we were resorting to offering to dry peoples glasses instead! LOL! Fortunately most of the soggy visitors had a sense of humour. It would've been a lot of fun in better weather. I didn't get to see much of the show but did manage to visit the Starlight Marquee where all the gardens were beautifully lit night-time gardens. Just gorgeous.
