The hybrid adventure
Ta Da! My first hybrid project.
First prepare your canvas. It was fun mixing the right colour of acrylic paint to match the page.
I had an 8x8 canvas but it had rounded edges so I couldn't use it right to the edge, a 7.5x7.5 print was needed. I printed my layout on HP everday photo paper which is somewhere between a matt and a gloss. I sprayed it with protective spray. It was the first time I'd used it and my heart was in my mouth, I half expected all the ink to run off the page but fortunately it didn't. I also printed extra word elements and flowers and gave them the same treatment.
I attached the page to the canvas using double sided tape and then used double-sided foam pieces to add the extra 3-D flowers and word elements. Where there was glitter on the layout I ran a little glue around the edge and added some real glitter.
I was quite pleased with the results and I think I'll be tempted to play some more. The original layout is here and uses Irene Alexeeva's "One old fairy tale" page kit.
